Renouveau

With the end of Romanticism and the emergence of new musical currents, French school chamber music experienced a "renouveau". The beginning of the century marks a point of no return towards a period of sound exploration, exhaustion of traditional harmony, and enrichment with elements from other cultures.
In this context, the Trio Memento comes to illuminate a program that honors the chamber repertoire of Joseph Jongen, Gabriel Fauré and Maurice Ravel.
